Lightweight End Fed Sloper
Description
This is my “Light Weight End Fed Sloper” designed for field use during activities such as ARES and RACES activations/deployments and can also be used for SOTA, POTA and Field Day among many others. The concepts behind this antenna was something portable and multiband capable. With 20 and 40 meter being the most reliable bands for both day time and night time HF communications it was a must have for this antenna. This antenna has achieved both those bands and more with SWR readings under 1.5:1 on 10 – 40 meter operations and only at a 3.5:1 SWR on the 75/80 meter band, which means nearly all tuners will have no problem tuning on the 75/80 meter band.
